Whether you are a resident of Denare Beach or just visiting, we have lots of fun things to do and tourist attractions in the area!
  1. Main Beach
    Main Beach
    The perfect place to spend your summer days and let the kids play! The Sand Castle Concession is open daily and Daycamp is also available July 2nd-August 9th for ages 5-12! Public washrooms are open 11am-7pm daily.
  2. Camping
    Two provincial campgrounds are located by Denare Beach - Sawmill Bay Campground and Sand Beach Campground - as well as a private campground location - Bayside Resort.
  3. Canoe Routes
    Paddle the routes of fur traders and voyageurs of years past along canoe routes #14, #41 & #44 or paddle to one of our many islands and hidden spots for a fish fry.
  4. Northern Gateway Museum
    Northern Gateway Museum
    Open seasonally for the months of July & August, our museum is bursting at the seams with our local history and cultural heritage. Hours are 11am -7pm daily. No Admission fee, but monetary donations welcomed!
  5. Beaver City
    Beaver City
    At the end of Hwy 167 on the south side of the lake, the once booming gold rush community was established when Tom Creighton discovered gold on Amisk Lake in 1913 starting the first gold rush in the province. Copper was soon discovered in Flin Flon in 1915, causing its demise.
  6. Limestone Crevices
    Limestone Crevices
    The Limestone Crevices are a spectacular natural attraction formed since the glaciers receded from the last ice age over 10.000 years ago. They are located 15.2 kms south of Denare Beach on Hwy 167, an unmarked road on the right. will lead to a parking area and trail head..
  7. Fishing
    Amisk Lake( Beaver in Cree) is approximately 430 square kms and is the home to many fish species including walleye, northern pike, perch, burbot and sturgeon. Smallmouth bass is also nearby at the stocked Knuto Lake Saskatchewan fishing regulations apply.
  8. Ski & Hiking Trails

    Follow our lakeshore trail in the evening for beautiful sunset views or make a loop on our ski trails year round to find a quiet spot among the towering pine trees of the Canadian Shield.
